Back of the house*
Alex has been in Ithaca this week to handle the closing and the initial round of contractors needed for everything from landscaping to painting. The home has a log cabin-like feel, even though it isn't one. It sits on a pretty, natural, 1.5 acre lot at the end of a nice, quite street; perfect for raising little kids.

The best part of the property, if you ask me, is the additional 8.5 acres of completely wild land out back. Whenever Alex and I talked about moving back to Ithaca, this is what I envisioned:

Now, we just have to work out the details of actually moving there. That will likely happen toward the end of November. I can't wait!
* Alex didn't take any pictures of the front of the house; odd =)
** Special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Hayes for starting off our furnishings with this beautiful dining room set!
OMG it's fabulous! Cannot wait to visit. Love all the windows!
